Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken thighs
  • Sea salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Garlic powder, to taste
  • ¼ cup (60 ml) avocado oil, divided
  • 1 bunch thin asparagus
  • ¼ cup (25 g) grated Parmesan cheese

How to make 5-Ingredient Chicken And Asparagus

  1. Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C, or gas mark 8).
  2. Place the chicken thighs on one side of a large sheet pan. Season the chicken thighs with a couple pinches of salt, pepper and garlic powder on both sides and drizzle 2 tablespoons (30 ml) of avocado oil over the chicken. Transfer the pan to the oven and cook for 10 minutes.
  3. To trim the asparagus, cut off about 1½ to 2 inches (3.5 to 5 cm) from the flat ends of the asparagus and set them aside.
  4. Remove the chicken from the oven. Place the asparagus on the other side of the sheet pan and drizzle the remaining 2 tablespoons (30 ml) of avocado oil all over the asparagus. Sprinkle an even amount of Parmesan cheese on top of each chicken thigh.
  5. Return the sheet pan to the oven and cook for 5 to 7 minutes. Serve immediately.
